Once more for the Flickr...

I've stumbled onto yet another great collection of images from the 50s and 60s—Science and Tech Ads. This is awesome and inspiring, enjoy.

In My Backyard

Of course when you live somewhere you tend to overlook what's happening around you. Well, since May the Philadelphia Museum of Art has been showing a collection of twenty-three twentieth-century chairs. Judging from what I've seen online, I need to get over there before the exhibit closes on September 20. I also need to pay a little more attention.

Julius Shulman, 1910–2009

Julius Shulman, photographer of some of the most iconic images of modern architecture ever produced, dies at age 98. His work lives on in the documentary Visual Acoustics (releasing in the US in October.) The trailer looks awesome.

To the Moon

July 16th marked the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. Check out the LIFE web site to see exclusive photos from those memorable days in 1969 when the country watched as 3 men launched into space.

Awesome Vintage Visuals

Thought I would share some great vintage finds I recently came across on flickr, ffffound, and other sites. Enjoy.

Thanks for Stopping By

Thanks so much to everyone for making our opening night a success. We got such positive feedback on the inventory, as well as the pricing. It looks like we created the shop we were aiming for.

Enjoy the photos from the night. And if you haven't stopped in just yet, hopefully this will intrigue you.

Announcing the Shag Opening Happy Hour

It's time.

After weeks of gathering, cleaning, and painting we are so excited to open Shag with a celebratory happy hour this Friday, July 10. Stop by for a drink and give the inventory a once over. We'll be pouring from 7 to 10.
