Style Me, Mrs. Lilien.

I recently discovered Mrs. Lilien Styling House. Now, imagine if Kate Spade and Jonathan Adler had a love child. Kelley Lilien is it — whimsical and lux with a touch of vintage glamour, She's a California-based graphic designer and stylist available for hire. Yes, that's right. If you find yourself wanting to live inside one of the personality collages she creates and posts on her blog YOU CAN HIRE HER.

Those of us unable to work with Mrs. Lilien directly will have to be resourceful. Luckily, Mrs. Lilien is an exceptional host to everyone visiting her blog. She includes links to every item featured in each thoughtfully curated post. Clothing, accessories, artwork, housewares, collectibles — no category goes untouched. Vintage and contemporary pieces are mixed to create lust-worthy portraits of style.

Knoll: A Modern Universe

Quoted from shelterpop:

Knoll. Designers and design-lovers know the name well. It may not ring as familiar to the everyday ear but chances are high that you've seen, sat on or perhaps even owned a Knoll piece in your lifetime.

For more than 70 years, this iconic furniture powerhouse has brought many notable names from the world of mid-century design to the masses. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona collection, Eero Saarinen's Tulip chair and tables and Harry Bertoia's wire chairs are merely a few examples of Knoll's vastly recognizable goods.

Knoll: A Modern Universe by Brian Lutz with a foreword by Reed Kroloff, a new book released this month celebrates the rich history of this seven-decades-old company, showcasing the many products and names for which the company is so well known (as well as those lesser known).

Danish Wall Units

Ardewerk en Zo is a furniture store located in a small village in the northern part of The Netherlands specializing in Royal System wall units designed by Poul Cadovius. They have a pretty sweet flickr page that also shoes vintage ads.

One day I will own one of these wall units...one day.

Retro swimwear, oh my!

I've been a little lax in posting (the real job has been taking up most of my time.) But this morning I found Swanwear on Etsy and just had to share some of the awesome retro bathing suits they have.
